The new Ectaco apps are also the first of their kind to incorporate the
human voice capability, leveraging the strength of the company’s portable
learning brand across its entire language offering. The first release
provides users with access to 58 languages, including English to/from
Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Azeri, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian,
Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Farsi, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew,
Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian,
Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Serbian,
Slovak, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese,
on-the-go and hassle free with no need for an internet connection.

“We wanted to extend our product line over to Android users and make our
high-end dictionaries and translators more affordable than before,”
mentions David Lubinitsky, CEO of Ectaco Inc. “The success of our
translators allowed us to split programs individually, so users all over
the world can take advantage of our one of a kind portable language
learning applications.”

The built-in speech recognition module allows users to say a word they’re
looking for in either language and have it found instantly instead of
typing or scrolling. An additional Ectaco/C-Pen Bundle Pack is available
on the official Ectaco site which includes 5, 9, 13 or 20 language
dictionaries with a Bluetooth C-Pen pen scanner so users can scan text in
any language and get an instant translation on the screen of their
Android device. This is the world’s first peripheral add-on text scanner
for Android.
