ECTACO, Inc. introduced the first tier of dictionaries and translators for Android compatible devices. The new applications are the latest release to Ectaco’s slate of unique dictionaries and will be the first to feature academic sized lexicons with translations, speech recognition, word look up and even fluent human-voice pronunciation. The new Ectaco apps are also the first of their kind to incorporate the human voice capability, leveraging the strength of the company’s portable learning brand across its entire language offering. The first release provides users with access to 58 languages, including English to/from Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Azeri, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Estonian, Farsi, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Serbian, Slovak, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese, on-the-go and hassle free with no need for an internet connection. The built-in speech recognition module allows users to say a word they’re looking for in either language and have it found instantly instead of typing or scrolling.
